Sop Moei Arts

Meet Kent Gregory and his son-in-law Po Sarawut, key players in the Weaving Center to be sponsored with some of the money Sumalee earmarked for charity and worthy causes. Mom loved Sop Moei's scarves (as many of you will recall - in fact she is wearing one of them in the picture here), as well as their basketwork.

They gave her a lot of joy in her later years, and one of her more memorable trips in the past decade was to visit the remote hilltop village where it all began. I will write more about this as the project takes shape. For those of you who would like to learn more about Kent and Poh's work, I will post a couple of links in the comments below (or you can just google "Kent Gregory Sop Moei arts").
